Wind your neck in! The brazen giraffe who tried to follow family home from Safari trip

A little girl who befriended a giraffe while on a safari holiday got a shock when the animal tried to follow her back to her house - but luckily it couldn't quite fit through the door.
Cheeky giraffe Patrick took a liking to young Elizavetz Tischenko, 12, on a family trip to Nairobi, Kenya, last summer.
And he became so fond of the youngster that he even tried to check out her villa - but was just a bit too tall to manage to get in.

The family were staying at the Giraffe Manor - a unique hotel in the Kenyan wilderness where every window sill is filled with giraffe food - so guests can experience the incredible creatures close up.
But this one animal got a bit carried away - and decided he wanted to stay inside the hotel.

And when he later realised there was not food left at the house, unimpressed Patrick decided to poke his tongue out at the camera.

Russian photographer and Elizavet's father, Alexey, 40, said: 'This is an amazing hotel - at first the ancient manor looks like a typical example of English architecture - but giraffes wander around the grounds like pets.
'In every room there is a special bucket full of food - and you can even be woken up in the morning by the giraffes thrusting their heads into the bedroom looking for food.
'You are allowed to wander around the park as long as you took precautions, and didn't walk directly behind the giraffes, as one kick is strong enough to kill.
'But they were all very friendly - and if you showed them respect, they respected you back.
'My daughter loved the hotel and could not stop feeding her new friends. Three of the herd - called Patrick, Lee and Suzanna - were bolder than the rest and came right up to the door.
'The giraffes are not allowed to come into the house, but Patrick decided he wanted to follow Elizavet and the food.
'He knew that there was a lot of tasty food in the house - and even though hotel workers tried to stop him coming right up to the door, Patrick managed to almost get in three times.
'You can feed the giraffes from a specially-built platform near the hotel, that is head-height for them.
'Patrick loved my daughter feeding him there - but he got pretty annoyed when we ran out of food.
'He decided to stick his tongue out right in our faces - and didn't stop sticking it out until he got more food.
'He was so cheeky - I just had to capture the moment on film.'
